How Therapy Helps

Therapy is a way of exploring possibilities. It can help to bring awareness to challenges in your life. It helps to provide a different perspective on your problems and difficulties and offers an opportunity to explore and understand your experiences. This leads to greater self-understanding and consequently, better relationships with yourself and others.  

You may want to talk about things that are uncomfortable to discuss but which are causing you difficulties. The courage to be open is an important part of the process. I will support you to explore your beliefs and find new perspectives on your problems and consider changes you might want to make in your life. 

What is Existential therapy?

Existential therapy involves exploring beliefs and values and how they affect a person’s engagement with the world and with themselves. This is one of the fundamentals of existential therapy as we are always in relation to ourselves and others. How we comport ourselves in our life effects the way we feel about ourselves and others.

Exploring and expressing your beliefs and attitudes in the presence of a trusted other can help to unravel fixed beliefs which no longer serve us.
